In November, we delivered and installed a portal crane for the Road Administration and Maintenance of the Zlín Region. What makes this crane truly exceptional is its flexibility—it can move freely across the entire hall floor without being limited to a fixed track, offering a handling area comparable to that of an overhead travelling crane. In this particular case, an overhead travelling crane was not an option due to the building’s structural limitations, a challenge we often encounter in older or uniquely designed halls.
The crane is fitted with polyurethane-tired wheels to protect the floor, and these wheels rotate freely to support the steel structure with a suspended chain hoist from Stahl CraneSystems. All movements are fully electric and easily controlled by the operator through a convenient push-button panel. For maximum safety, the crane is equipped with a comprehensive set of mechanical and electronic protection features, ensuring safe operation and preventing collisions with personnel or other equipment within the hall.
