Bumper Stiffness Measurement in the Laboratory of CTU Prague

Bumpers are made to order according to the dimensional and stiffness characteristics we have set. The tests were carried out on a newly installed Shimadzu measuring device in the CTU laboratory. The actual measurements were carried out by doc. Ing. Michal Jandera, Ph.D. Data analysis and implementation into crane design system the Crane 4 was carried out by Ing. Josef Musilek, Ph.D. and Ing. David Adamec.

The purpose of our company is to design crane constructions that will be economical and at the same time comply with applicable technical standards and regulations. The aim is therefore to refine the static calculations that best reflect the actual static action of the structure in limit states. To this end, we have made this measurement of bumper stiffness characteristics, which together with further development will contribute to optimizing the static design of our structures.
